One of the major problems with companies and freelancers is their attitude towards their customers. The customers are paying you, it is their hard earned money and if the quality of the product or service is poor, or you do not treat the customer properly, they can always take their business elsewhere. For some time, they may work with you, but it affects the long term relationship.
Remember, you can never force any person to trust you. Trust is earned over a period of time.

One of the best indicators of the way a company treats its employees, is the attitude of the employees towards its customers. If the company treats its employees fairly, the employees are far more likely to treat the customers well. On the other hand, if non work related factors are important, employees will rarely go out of their way to solve the customer problems.

Some of the largest and oldest companies like HP offer great customer support, their employees will go out of their way to help a customer whose computer is not working. On the other hand, one of the reasons few companies from certain countries are world class is the poor customer support. If you want to cheat or trick a customer (or vendor) in the short run, you may make some money, but in the long run, it will not pay off. Dealing with unethical individuals or companies is not worth the effort in the long term.
